Taylor Swift - Fearless Tour 2009

Taylor Swift brought her Fearless Tour to the UK in November 2009 and played at Manchester on 24th November 2009. Click here for Dale’s review and pictures. Plus find out what her album ‘Fearless’ actually means…

What is Fearless?

Above: The Dale Bamber Show describing why she called her album Fearless

To me, fearless is not the absence of fear. It’s not being completely unafraid. To me, fearless is having fears. Fearless is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, fearless is living in spite of those things that scare you to death. Fearless is falling madly in love again, getting back up and fighting for what you want over and over again… even though every time you’ve tried before, you’ve lost. It’s fearless to have faith that someday things will change. Fearless is having the courage to say goodbye to someone who only hurts you, even if you can’t breathe without them. I think it’s fearless to fall for your best friend, even though he’s in love with someone else. And when someone apologizes to you enough times for things they’ll never stop doing, I think it’s fearless to stop believing them. It’s fearless to say ‘you’re not sorry’, and walk away. I think loving someone despite what people think is fearless. I think allowing yourself to cry on the bathroom floor is fearless. Letting go is fearless. Then, moving on and being alright… that’s fearless too. But no matter what love throws at you, you have to believe in it. You have to believe in love stories and prince charming’s and happily ever after. Because I think love is fearless. - Taylor Swift

Fearless Tour 2009

The atmosphere was unbelivable! Taylor recently won “Entertainer of the year” at the CMA’s…and after her concert…SHE DESERVES IT!!!! Taylor knew how to rock the crowd and at one point the concert came to a stand still as people kept cheering…which mearlt lead Taylor to cry. She started her tour with You Belong With Me with was amazingly coreographed followed by Our Song. After this she posed for a good few minutes while people took photos. The this posing was followed by a country hit…Tell Me Why. The Taylor told us a story about a lad she had a crush on at school…a crush Drew didn’t know about…yes she sung Teardrops On My Guitar. Then changing the words to make Manchester cheer like mad (despit the fact the amount of ylables in Manchester didnt with with the song…but it still sounded good!) she sung Fearless followed by Forever and Always which is a song she wrote about Joe Jonas. Then they played a video illustrating all of Taylors ‘victims’ whihc included Tim McGraw, Drew from teardrops on my guitar…and Stephen on the next song that she sung…yes it was Hey Stephen but where has she gone? Taylor was at the top of the arena walking down the crowd to the middle stage to sing Fifteen which she sung as an acoustic which was breath taking…then as she sung Tim McGraw she made her way back to the main stage…and OH MY GOD I SHOOK TAYLOR SWIFTS HAND Dale + shaking Taylors hand = Dale’s speechless! While Dale got over this…Taylor sung White Horse and then told us was that we were to go back in history…she was talking about Love Story and it was amazing what she was wearing and how they ripped her dress off…and as this is a family website we will leave that there!!!! Taylor got dressed again into her next dress and sang The Way I Loved You followed by You’re Not Sorry/What Goes Around…/…Comes Around which was a good meadely!!!! She then said that if anyone breaks her heart…or hurts any of her friends in Manchester (obviously aiming that at Dale) then she would write a song about them! following this she sung Picture to Burn. Taylor ended her breath taking tour with a performance that she got absolutly soaked in…Should’ve Said No.
