Dale’s Got Talent 2010
Dale’s Got Talent - The most competitive gameshow in radio history! Here is the latest news and the highlights from the on air feature specially created for The Dale Bamber Show.
The Rules
Each week a task will be taking place live on The Dale Bamber Show. One week Dale will set a task for Heather and the week after Heather will set a task for Dale. The feature will last for 8 weeks. Whoever has the most points at the end of the series of Dale’s Got Talent will win.
Week One - Heather and the Ferrero Rocher Challenge.
Dale set the first task for Heather and Dale got his idea from last years Britian’s Got Talent. All Heather had to do is to eat more than 7 Ferrero Rochers in a minuite to break the world record.
Week 2 - Dale and the Marshmallow Challenge.
In week 2 and it was Heathers turn to set her very first task. She set Dale the marshmellow challenge. All Dale had to do was place 17 or more in his mouth all at once. The world record is 16. Did Dale manage to live up to his old name at the now defunt Ribble Valley Radio as ‘the biggest gob of the valley’?
Week 3 - Heather and the Terry’s Chocolate Orange Challenge
Week 3 and the competiton started getting personal between Dale and Heather. Both contestants are uping the game now to win the all important point that could potentially let them win the whole competiton. Off air and on the way to the studios Dale bought a pack of biscuits and asked Heather to hold them…which made her believe that she was going to be doing a task with biscuits…oh how wrong was she? The world record of eating the chocolate orange in the fastest time is 2 mins 51.91 seconds. Now thats along time…but could Heather do it?
We also took pictures of Heather taking on this task.
Week 4 - Dale and the tin of Spaghetti
So week 4 and after Heather not being able to do the Terrys chocolate orange, Heather set Dale the task to eat a tin of spaghetti…cold! The time limit is 53.5 seconds without using a knife, folk or spoon. This wasn’t a world record but the record was set by Heather’s friend.

The Aftermath of The Spaghetti Task
Dale went to do his next radio show at RHB 2 days later and had a nice suprise waiting for him. Dale took part in the show ‘Pirate Radio hits’ and they asked Dale to re-try the task again. Dale took it on and lets say he didnt do as well the second time…

On 18th May 2010 RHB made Heather take on her own task that she set Dale weeks ago. Footage of Heather eating the tin starts at 01:35.
Week 5 - Heather and the lemon eating task
Over half way through now and after the week Dale had with everyone showing him tins of Spaghetti Dale set Heather a task that would make her sick and fail. Heather had to peel and eat a lemon as fast as she could…well against the world record…which was 9.81 seconds. Do you think she could do it?

Week 6 and Heather decided to step the tasks up she set for Dale…and made him eat an onion! I think I can speak on behalf of Dale…he didnt quite manage it!

Week 8 - Dale and the bottle of Coke
The final task of the competition and it lies in the hands of Heather! Heather told Dale to down a full 500ml bottle of coke in the world record time of…24 seconds! Did he do it…well the bottle exploded in his face…so we here at dalebamber.co.uk are going to say…no!
