Guess The Girl

Arguably the most successful on air feature in The Dale Bamber Show’s history, as well as Ribble Valley Radio’s history as well. Guess The Girl is based on British pop band Girls Aloud. Each week, The Dale Bamber Show would broadcast a performance from one member of Girls Aloud during their time on Popstars - The Rivals. All the listener has to do is to guess which member of Girls Aloud is singing. Nadine Coyle, Cheryl Cole, Sarah harding, Kimberley Walsh or Nicola Roberts. Towards the end of series 2 of The Dale Bamber Show it took over an hour and a half to collect the results from listeners who played along and contacted the studio.

Glee Megamix

In January 2010 Glee launhed in the UK. Glee is a group of teenagers who make friends through singing and dancing. Glee dominated The Dale Bamber Show for the first 3 months of 2010 and Glee is still going from stength to strength with various tracks entering the UK top 40 singles charts and their albums topping the UK album charts. Dale also started the infamous argument…’Does Dale look like Finn?’…(by the way…the answer was no!) When writing the script for this show, Dale couldnt pick a particular Glee track…so hes made a megamix…full of Glee songs that have charted in the UK singles charts!

The Weekly Tease

Another original on air feature from the pilot edition of The Dale Bamber Show back in 2007, the weekly tease is an on air feature where Each week, Dale would read out either a joke or a brainteaser and the listeners would have to guess the answer. This on air feature ran throughout series 1 of the show however never returned in series 2.

The Weekly tease will however be returning to The Dale Bamber Show full time as from Sunday 18th April 2010.

Dale’s Supermarket Sweep

Dale’s Supermarket Sweep…the game thats let’s you guess the prices of products. Originally this on air feature was meant to debut on the pilot edition of The Dale Bamber Show back in 2007…yet took three years to get the show onto the airwaves. At the time Dale pulled the plug on the on-air feature because he thought it was too cheezy! However in 2010 it finally made it to the airwaves!

This edition of Dale’s Supermarket Sweep on The Dale Bamber Show’s 3rd anniversary will be the last in the series.

During “The Dale Bamber Show - The Simon Cowell Story” that broadcasted on Sunday 18th October 2009 Dale held X Factor auditions…that Paj applied for. The Dale Bamber Show will be re-playing Paj’s X Factor Audition along with Dale immitating the 4 judges…Louis Walsh, Danni Minogue, Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell…and we will hear what Paj has to think about his singing and what he thought about Dale’s impressions. We also have the immediate reaction of Paj when Dale stopped the show dated 13th December 2009 to announce who had won The X Factor 2009.

The Official UK Top 40

The original name of this on air feature when the show began in 2007 was called the ‘Number 1 @ 1′. The reason for this was because the show first broadcasted on Saturday Lunchtimes. When the show moved to Sunday primetime radio the feature was remaned to ‘The Official UK top 40′. Each week The Dale Bamber Show counts down the singles charts from number 40 to number 1.

As from Sunday 18th April 2010 the style of the Official UK top 40 will be changing due to the charts changing over the years.
