Katy Perry - The Hello Katy Tour 2009

Katy Perry brought her Hello Katy Tour to Manchester in February 2009. The songs she sung was from her debut album called ‘One of the boys’ which was released in summer 2008. Now Katy isnt a well known artist at the moment however after this concert I believe that she will go on to be an international superstar!

The songs Katy sung were:

  1. “Fingerprints”
  2. “One of the Boys”
  3. “Hot n Cold”
  4. “Self Inflicted”
  5. “Use Your Love”
  6. “Waking Up in Vegas”
  7. “Lost”
  8. “Thinking of You”
  9. “Mannequin”
  10. “Ur So Gay”
  11. “I’m Still Breathing”
  12. “I Think I’m Ready”
  13. “If You Can Afford Me”

And her encore:

  1. “Don’t Stop Me Now”
  2. “I Kissed a Girl”

During her concert she agreed to keep wearing outrageous outfits and keep producing amazing music. The atmosphere felt like I was at a recording of Top Of The Pops. Oh and Katy thanked us all for helping her win a prize! (She won a brit award a week before the concert).

Girls Aloud’s Out Of Control Tour 2009

Written - Sunday 17th May 2009

Picture gallery of the georgeous Girls Aloud live in action at the bottom of the report. As there are alot of pictures it may take a few mins to load!

So what fans and the press have branded as the girls final tour, Girls Aloud started their Out of Control tour in April 2009.

The 3 supporting acts were:

§  Emma Deigman

§  Jullian Perretta

§  Girls Can’t Catch

The show kicked off with the girls shooting through the floor and rising up to the sky singing The Promise. During this performance any girl that sung got a massive response from the crowd…with Cheryl getting the biggest cheer! We at dalebamber.co.uk think its because of her role on The X Factor. Then after this they sung an album track called Love is the key still in the same outfits!

Then the girls had a chat with the audience….saying that Manchester was the best audience yet…..me thinking she says that at every tour…Kimberley and sarah stated that Manchester is their hometown and they were going to give us their best performance ever…we should think so too girls for the price of the tickets! After 2 songs from the Out Of Control Album the girls sang Biology from the Chemistry album. This got the audence cherring and singing like mad! This was then followed by Miss You Bow Wow - another album tack from their Out of Control album.

Then all 5 got out of their white dresses and put…well…nothing on! The girls got into a short black skirt on to reinact the music video The Loving Kind followed by Waiting. Still in their virtually nothing dresses they then sang another popular classic song from their career called Love Machine. The last song they sung for this section of the tour before another outfit change was Rolling back the rivers in time!

Then it was time for another dress change into various dresses (see the pictures below…by the way they are very revealing!!!!)…..only this one took 3 minuites…..and why did it take 3 minuites for them to get ready? Because they jumped on a lift and moved to a new stage in the arena The girls flew over the audience (slowly!) singing the album version of Untouchable. (Yes really the full 7 minuite version!)

By the time they got to their mini stage….so did the audience! Then the girls sung the classic Sexy! No! No! No! After this they sung a cover of jame Morrisons number 2 hit…Broken Strings! Very quickly they sunf Love is pain and then the girlies jumped back on their lift and sang Call The shots. On their way back when they sang the lyric “call the shots nowwwwww” the male dancers threw gold glitter into the audience!

Another dress change and this time the girls wore less. The first song they sang was  Revolution in the head, another track from their Out of Control album. Time for another classic GA song now and it was their very first hit Sound of the underground which Cheryl mainly dominated this song as far as vocals! Then they sang Fix me up and during this song…the girls were pole dancing! Sleazy? It wasn’t really and the press over exagerated a bit I think! After their pole dancing the girls got their make dancers…who were dressed up as puppets and did a what can only be described as the worst cover ever, it was Britney Spears Womanizer!. Ok maybe we were over exagerating before…Kimberley did a brilliant job of the song…Nadine however…didnt! Last song of the tour before the encore…was Something kinda OOOOH!

There was time for 1 more song….and 1 more dress change! This time they wore reasonable dresses covering themselves up! and they sung a collaboration of their hits…with songs including The Show and The Promise. (Again!) As this is the first time on any tour they have ended with a collaboration of their greatest hits is this the end for Girls Aloud?

Girls Aloud’s Tangled Up Tour 2008

Written - Sunday 1st June 2008

Picture gallery of the georgeous Girls Aloud live in action at the bottom of the report.

On 3rd May 2008 Girls Aloud kicked off their ‘Tangled Up Tour’ summed up by the press as “the Madonna erotic era” The tour has cost over £3 Million to stage….and it was worth every penny!!!! I went to see Girls Aloud perform the tour at Manchester MEN arena on Saturday 31st May 2008.

The 3 supporting acts were:

1.     Luigi Masi

2.     Billiam

3.     The Saturdays

The show kicked off with the girls hanging in the middle of the sky in black, blue and white PVC outfits and after about a minuite of just hanging in the sky……they sang Sexy! No No No. Then after this they sung an album track called Girl Overboard still in the same outfits!

Then Cheryl had a chat with the audience….saying that Manchester was the best audience yet…..me thinking she says that at every tour…and Cheryl and Sarah asked the question “Who’s a better cerowed Manchester or Liverpool?” As soon as Sarah Said Liverpool everyone started booing…..which i bet made Nicola feel welcome! While Cheryl was entertaining the crowd Kimberley ran to the side of the stage….not looking well but after Nadine went over and have her a quick hug the girls started performing this time….going all the way back to 2002 by singing Sound of the Underground…cleverly changing the line “Bass line jumps in the backstreet lights” to the “Bass line jumps in Manchester” and this line was sung by Cheryl….this got the audence cherring like mad! this was then followed by Close to love - another album tack from their Tangled Up album.

Then all 5 got out of their tight fitted PVC outfits and put…well…nothing on! The girls got into a black cabaret outfit….lets say theyre were a little bit revealing!!!!! The next song on the playlist was Cant Speak French followed by Love Machine. Still in their virtually nothing dresses they then sang another popular album track from their Tangled Up Album called Black Jacks. Then it was Nicola’s turn to entertain the audience….she didn’t say much apart from she was loving the banners, she loved her fans and thanked everyone for coming! Then a song that had everyone singing…Biology!

Then it was time for another dress change into multi-coloured dresses…..only this one took 3 minuites…..by the time the lights came on there was a massive bridge….from the main stage at the front of the arena….to a little stage at the back of the arena. The girls walked along the bridge singing Whole Lotta History. Our row and the few surrounding us were just boring and starting at them….so I just started waving like mad and Cheryl waved at me and gave a very sexy cheezy smile!!!! Oh My God Cheryl waved at me Probably the best thing that has and will happen to me in 2008!!!!!!

By the time they got to their mini stage….so did the audience! Then the girls sung the acoustic version of the 2007 number 1 hit for Robyn’s With Every Heartbeat which was the B side to Cant Speak French. After covering another artists number 1 they sung 1 of their own number 1 hits….which is my favourite song of all time I’ll Stand By you! Cheryl dedicated this song to the audience for still supporting Girls Aloud 6 years after they formed! As the girls sang this they walked back over the bridge and waved at their fans while singing.

Another dress change and this time the girls went into gold dresses…and while they were getting changed and also getting rid of the bridge they played some VT footage of the girls preparing for the tour….by getting dressed and in rehersals! Then came the girls talking about..in theory “A guy they were …lets say going out with”…and they sumed it up that it was a Fling which funnily enough was the title of the next song….another track from their Tangeld Up album. Time for another cover now and its the classic Salt N pepper song Push it which Cheryl mainly dominated this song as far as vocals! Then time for 2 classic Girls Aloud songs….although they never sung the full songs! The songs were Wake me up and Walk this way. With walk this way on last years tour Sarah and Nicola sung the Sugababes lines….this year Nadine and Kimberley sung their lines as usual….then they cut out the second verse then they all sang their normal lines…except for Cheryl who sung Amelle’s lines towards the end! Then time for the final song from their album tanged up and this was Control of the knife…..followed by a very short version of Kelis Trick me….sung by Cheryl and she liturally shouted…..”You tricked me once….I wont let you trick me twice”….me thinking could that have something to do with the whole Cheryl/Ashley Split in January????? Then it was Nadine’s turn to speak to the audience…Secretly she was loving it….if anyone could of understood her Irish accent! She also sounded really high pitched for some reason….like a chipmunk! Anyway she then introdueced their biggest hit from 2007….Call the shots! And when Nicola did her solo part in the song sparks were on the stage left right and centre!!!! It was truly one of their best performances ever! They ended the tour with their version of the 1980’s hit for the Pointer Sisters Jump….or so we thought!

There was time for 1 more song….and 1 more dress change! This time they wore neon lycra leotards and were Tangled Up…with the male dancers un-tangling them! and they sung their biggest hit from 2006 - Something Kinda OOOOH!

Yes all 5 Girls sang live. Girls Aloud were the very first band (and the only band) ive ever seen in concert….this being the second time I’ve seen them touring! It was an amazing night and the atmosphere was immense!!!

Girls Aloud’s Greatest Hits Tour 2007

Written - Monday 28th May 2007.

Picture gallery of the georgeous Girls Aloud live in action at the bottom of the report.

On 15th May 2007 Girls Aloud kicked off their ‘Greatest Hits Tour’ summed up by the press as “their raunchiest tour yet!” I went to see Girls Aloud perform their greatest hits down in Wembly, held at the Wembley Arena on Saturday 26th May 2007. Not only did i get aload of merchandise, I had the best tickets in the house - Front row

The concert kicked off with the 3 supporting acts:

1.     Natalia

2.     Misha Williams

3.     Rogue Traders

Out of those 3 acts I only knew 1…the Rogue Traders and from their songs I only knew 1 but Natalie (Izzy from neighbours) was brilliant live! (despite the fact her dress was that short…well do we wanna go there???)

Then at 9pm the Girls finally came on stage…from the sky and typical me is still looking at the stage expecting them to come out of the side

They kicked off by singing Something Kinda ooh and Wake me up. After a quick chat with the audience it was the boy dancers Vs girls aloud in Walk this way…Sarah and Nicola taking the roles of the Sugababes. During this song Cheryl came to where i was sat…so randomly…cause the people around me just weren’t getting involved so i thought id wave…and to my suprise she waved back…Oh my god…Cheryl waved at me!!!! That was probably the best thing thats happened to me in a long time!!!!!

After this they very quickly got changed … and at this point if anyone was sat around me, you could actually see Sarah taking her clothes off…fair enough they have like a minuite to change their clothes but did she have to do it on stage? - Not that im complaining Once the girls came back on stage, they got the audience to do a mexican wave…and it worked! (Even though the person next to me shouted out “At linkin Park they didnt need to ask the audience to do a mexican wave”) And continued the show with Long hot summer. All 5 girls got a fan to cool them down…cause by the looks of Kim she was sweating for the UK. Then they all got on a sofa that lifted them up into the air and they sang whole lotta history’

Continuing then with 2 exclusive songs sung by Girls Aloud that have been released on albums but not as singles! They were called Graffiti my soul and Real life that were to be released by Girls Aloud in their early music career however never having time to release them.

Usually they sing a song well known to the public however sung by different artists. For example on the “What will the neighbours say” tour they sang Teenage dirtbag by Wheatus and on the “Chemistry” tour they sang I predict a riot by the Kaiser chiefs. On this tour…the Greatest Hits tour they sang Ive had the time of my life from the film Dirty dancing. That had the whole audience singing!

Then the girls sang their original chart hits from late 2002/early 2003 sound of the underground and No good advice. Followed by the girls 3rd single which was a slightly faster version of Life got cold

But the song that got the most reaction by the audience was the children in need song from 2004 I’ll stand by you. At this point everyone was cheering swaying their arms in the air!

Then the set changed to a casino as they sang a slow version of Tiffany’s classic I think we’re alone now. Then a brand new track…and the only track from their greatest hits album that hasn’t been released was the song called Money.

Followed by the song that had everyone dancing…LOVE MACHINE!

After this all the curtains closed as the girls changed into dressing robes, and everyone in the Arena had a massive countown to welcome them back on…and the show continued with The show. In this song the girls were on the stage in bed…and then each girl had a man in bed with them…to say that my radio show is a family programme and the odds are kids are on here we betta leave that there

And final song was … Biology.

Yes all 5 Girls sang live. People do say I must really like them to actually go and see them in concert because ive never ever been to a concert in my life and the fact that it’s a massive bang like Girls Aloud makes it better that they were the first people I ever saw in concert and it was the best experience of my life!
