An apology
On Sunday 4th July 2010 The Dale Bamber Show came to an end on Ribble Valley Media. As you heard it was an emotional night and Dale did make various comments about The Dale Bamber Show and Ribble Valley Media.
Firstly Dale said “It was such a shame that money came into the object of, you know, closing down.” This was in response to Ribble Valley Radio closing down on 14th October 2007 not The Dale Bamber Show or Ribble Valley Media and Dale would appologise for any confusion this has caused to any listeners.
Dale coninued to say: “When a project comes more about money than about quality of broadcasting, then you know it’s time to walk. If the Dale Bamber Show had stayed here any longer, then we would have been bankrupt.” Dale would like to point out that Ribble Valley Media is dedicated to the quality of broadcasting its shows puts out and Dale was referring to the cost and the funds of The Dale Bamber Show when not broadcasting on Ribble Valley Media and not directly at RVM and once again would like to apologise for the comment he made about the remarks he made against RVM.
Dale then went on to say “Sadly, you know, you start something and then people come along and they join it and it’s such a shame that what started off once as a really, really good team just destroyed the meaning of Ribble Valley Media.” “RVM may go on to bigger things; I doubt it.” Firstly as Dale helped launch RVM he knows and understands the dedication the comittee and other volunteers put into the keeping of RVM Dale apologises to the people thsi comment affected and regrets saying this as he understands how hard these people work to make RVM what it is today.
Dale would like to apologise for what he said towards Ribble Valley Media and would like to assure all listeners that this isnt his views about the station nor the people who help make Ribble Valley Media what it is today.
Dale has recently met up with RVM and has personally apologised for the comments made on the final edition of The Dale Bamber Show. As Dale understands the hard work people do put into RVM, Dale did make a donation towards the station following his final speech.
